Dr. Hidalgo received his medical degree at the Universidad La Salle in México City. He performed two years of General Surgery residency at Hospital Español de México, 1997-1999.
Residency in urology
He completed his urology residency at Fundació Pugvert. Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona. Barcelona, Spain. 1999-2003
Following residency , Dr. Hidalgo completed a clinical fellowship in Laparoscopic Surgery at Université Livre de Bruixelles- Hopital Erasme (Brussels,Belgium, 2004) under Renaud Bollens M.D., a world renowned expert in Laparoscopic surgery
Publications and continual medical educaction
Author in 34 presentations in urological meetings and 10 papers in peer-rewied professional journals. He has been guest speaker in some meetings focused on laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Hidalgo has interest in minimally invasive surgical procedures, specifically in laparoscopic prostate, kidney, and bladder surgery, urologic cancer surgery, and laparoendoscopic single site surgery (LESS).
Dr. Hidalgo is affiliated within the American Urological Association, the European Association of Urology and Asociación Española de Urología.
